Second Best Western Hotel in Belize opens on Ambergris Caye

The second Best Western hotel in Belize was officially unveiled on Thursday, August 18th, in San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye. Named Best Western Grand Baymen Gardens Resort, it is located just five minutes south of downtown. With 33 one and two-bedroom condos, amenities include swimming pools, a pool bar, a fitness center, and two tennis courts.

Getting the COVID-19 Vaccine? Traveling to Belize will be easy!

Belize started welcoming international guests on October 1, 2020. Since then, our travel regulations have continuously evolved, making it easier to visit the country. Under the Belize Tourism Board’s (BTB) most recent travel regulation update, COVID-19 tests are no longer needed if a visitor is fully immunized. For those not vaccinated yet, the PCR test required timeframe has increased from within 72 hours to 96 hours of travel and 48 hours for the rapid test.

Cassava Bread- A Garifuna Staple

My Beautiful Belize recently had the unique opportunity to visit Sabal’s Cassava Farm as part of the 2019 Belize Tourism Board media familiarization trip on the southeast coast of Belize. Located at mile three on the Hummingbird Highway, right outside of Dangriga Town, this family-owned business has been operating since 1987 and produces cassava bread, starch, juice, and other deliciousness.
