The Belize Birding Festival celebrates our unique avian treasures with an annual event honoring our diverse and rich birdlife, attracting bird watchers, nature enthusiasts, and ornithologists worldwide. The festival typically takes place in October, and this year, the highly anticipated event will be held on October 5th at the Countryside Park in Spanish Lookout, Cayo District.

On June 27, 2024, Joseph Pate, also known as “JoeDaBartender,” was honored by the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) in Belize City for his exceptional bartending skills and his contributions to the tourism sector and community on Ambergris Caye. Pate has been devoted to the art of preparing mixed drinks since 2014 and has been creating craft cocktail drinks. He plans to continue contributing to the community by sharing his knowledge of barista skills and aims to expand his bar.

BTB Inaugurates first Maya Pok-ta-pok Ball Court in Belize

The Ts’unu’un Pok-ta-Pok Ball Court, located at Jardín Pachamama on the Yo Creek – San Lazaro Road in the Orange Walk District, was officially inaugurated as part of the Belize Tourism Board’s (BTB) steadfast efforts to safeguard Maya heritage and promote tourism in northern Belize.

Second Best Western Hotel in Belize opens on Ambergris Caye

The second Best Western hotel in Belize was officially unveiled on Thursday, August 18th, in San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye. Named Best Western Grand Baymen Gardens Resort, it is located just five minutes south of downtown. With 33 one and two-bedroom condos, amenities include swimming pools, a pool bar, a fitness center, and two tennis courts.

On Tuesday, May 31st, just after 2:30PM, Mexican social media influencer travel blogger, documentarist, and YouTuber, Alex Tienda arrived in San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye, via Tropic Air. The audiovisual content producer has over 300 million views on social media, and his visit to Belize is expected to expose the country significantly, especially among his millions of followers from around the world.

Getting the COVID-19 Vaccine? Traveling to Belize will be easy!

Belize started welcoming international guests on October 1, 2020. Since then, our travel regulations have continuously evolved, making it easier to visit the country. Under the Belize Tourism Board’s (BTB) most recent travel regulation update, COVID-19 tests are no longer needed if a visitor is fully immunized. For those not vaccinated yet, the PCR test required timeframe has increased from within 72 hours to 96 hours of travel and 48 hours for the rapid test.

My Beautiful Belize recently had the unique opportunity to visit Sabal’s Cassava Farm as part of the 2019 Belize Tourism Board media familiarization trip on the southeast coast of Belize. Located at mile three on the Hummingbird Highway, right outside of Dangriga Town, this family-owned business has been operating since 1987 and produces cassava bread, starch, juice, and other deliciousness.
