This immersive art exhibit hosted by The Art Shack in Belmopan celebrates birds’ beauty, diversity, and symbolism through the lens of contemporary and traditional art. Birds have long been a source of inspiration for artists, symbolizing freedom, transformation, and the delicate balance of nature. This exhibition explores the intricate relationship between humans and birds, highlighting their ecological importance, cultural significance, and aesthetic allure. Additionally, the exhibition is a platform for artistic expression and a strategic opportunity for artists to develop entrepreneurial skills and build sustainable careers. By integrating business development into the exhibition experience, “Skybound: A Symphony of Wings” fosters the growth of artists as creative entrepreneurs.

The exhibition is in collaboration with Belize Audubon, Belize Bird Rescue, Belize Raptor Center, and Beltraide.

The exhibit runs until May 2nd. The Art Shack is located in Belmopan across from Brodies, next to Moonclusters. Visit their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/theartshackbelize.

About the Author: Tamara Sniffin

I’m a sucker for a fuzzy face, a feathered face, a face with fins or even one with scales! I am in love with the creatures and the flora that are synonymous with Belize and every opportunity I have to learn more about them and explore their wild habitats I am there! I’m the happiest when I’m snorkeling the reef and swimming with turtles, however my passion is not just limited to critters! Laced throughout this compact jungle gem of a country live the Kriol, Maya, Garifuna, Mestizo and Spanish people, and experiencing each culture, especially their celebrations is one of my favorite pastimes.
