Another Halloween has come and gone, and with it memories of spectacular costumes. From humans to pets, this year island residents and visitors went above and beyond in dressing up for this ghoulish holiday.
As always, San Pedro Town played host to the most fabulous Halloween parties in the country; from Wayo’s Beach bar’s Haunted House to Holiday Hotel’s Costume Party and even Saga Humane Society’s Spooktacular Party for pets.
Starting off the scary fun was Wayo’s Beach bar, whic held its third annual Haunted House on Thursday, October 27th and Friday, October 28th. As if the mention of a haunted house isn’t scary enough, patrons were encouraged to dress up in their most devilish attire. From zombie nurse to creepy clowns, the fright factor was definitely on high. What wasn’t scary was learning that all proceeds of the event will benefit local charities!
Keeping the Halloween spirit going, Holiday Hotel held their legendary Costume Party on Saturday, October 29th. What an event this was! The costumes were just WOW! The anticipated event is one of biggest celebrations, attracting people from all over Belize and even internationally, who bring out their best masterpieces to impress. Holiday’s party had it all from the heart attack scary to the sugary sweet cute and even the firy hot sexy! My sincere sympathies if you missed this party!
Of course we did not forget the island pets we love and adore. On Sunday, October 30th, Saga Humane Society hosted their 13th annual Halloween Spooktacular Party at Carlo and Ernie’s Runway Bar. Pet lovers and pets alike came out in their most creative costumes. Cute little (and large) furballs dressed up as ghost, devils, super heroes and even fish – talk about cuteness overload! All proceeds from the event went towards Saga.
Now you know, Ambergris Caye is the place to be for Halloween. With only 365 days till the next one, it’s time to start prepping those costumes, because 2017 parties can only be bigger and better!
