Christmas Lighted Boat Parade – Ambergris Caye
San Pedro Town - Annual Christmas Lighted Boat Parade on Saturday, December 20th, featuring a glowing fleet of festively decorated boats cruising along the coastline. Organized by the San Pedro Tour Operators Association, the beloved tradition brings the community together with music, food, caroling, and plenty of holiday cheer. With expectations of even more participants and elaborate displays this year, the parade promises another unforgettable night of festive celebration.
Garifuna Settlement Day
Garifuna Settlement Day in Belize is a vibrant annual celebration held on November 19th that honors the arrival of the Garifuna people to the country in 1802. The day begins with the dramatic Yurumein reenactment, where boats come ashore to the sound of drums, songs, and conch shells. Festivities continue with parades, dancing, cultural performances, and traditional foods that showcase the rich heritage of the Garifuna community.
