Garifuna Settlement Day in Belize is a vibrant annual celebration held on November 19th that honors the arrival of the Garifuna people to the country in 1802. The day begins with the dramatic Yurumein reenactment, where boats come ashore to the sound of drums, songs, and conch shells.
