Belizeans don’t traditionally celebrate Thanksgiving as it’s not a national holiday in Belize. However, the day is still widely acknowledged—mainly because of the country’s close ties to the United States. Many Belizeans with family abroad, as well as local resorts, restaurants, and expatriate communities, enjoy special Thanksgiving dinners that often blend U.S. dishes with Belizean flavors. So while it’s not an official holiday, Belizeans certainly join in the spirit of gratitude, good food, and togetherness.

Where ever you are visiting in Belize, chances are you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy Thanksgiving – Belizean style!
