The Placencia Lobsterfest is a fundraising event for the Placencia Village Council and the Placencia Chapter of the Belize Tourism Industry Association. The event also plays a major role in sustaining local businesses during the low tourism season.

FOOD

There are three lobster festivals in Belize, and we have been told that no one else has as diverse and tasty a selection of lobster preparations as Placencia! Our food vendors also have you covered with shrimp, fish, chicken, steak, pork and sumptuous vegetarian sides! Many of the cooks at the Placencia Lobsterfest come to the beach carrying years of experience in the local restaurant industry and strong family kitchen traditions. Food is Placencia’s ultimate cultural immersion experience. Taste Creole, Mayan, Garifuna, Caribbean, European, Asian and North American culinary influences at the leading gastronomic party in Belize!

BAR

Cool off during the sunny three-day event with ice-cold refreshing Belikin Beer bottled by Bowen & Bowen, Ltd! Also try the Belizean company’s Lighthouse Lager, Belikin Premium, Belikin Lager and Belikin Stout! The festival’s bar will also be stocked with Belize’s favorite local rums and liquors. Festival-goers will also find fresh juices, slushies and other delicious non-alcoholic beverages at various vendor stalls and the bar.
